I don't see doubling in the eye or vest. also can't seem to locate the die markers from the EDS and MDS versions given from Wexler or CC. the coin has many die scratches, and are hard to find the markers through them. The only one I can barely see is the one "I" in UNITED on the reverse. if this is the DDO, I'm guessing its LDS.

Awesome coin! It is DDO-001, FS-101 and worth a couple hundred bucks.

John just to clarify. They are stated to be "uncirculated", but obviously some of these I've gone through have been lightly circulated. I just got lucky.

Nice mid late die state 1966 DDO! I knew it just by the wacky twisted 66 the humps on the U of trust seal the deal on it. Pics are grainy but I see that doubled R of trust you got a winner coin. The mysterious thing about these is the fact their's definitely early and mid along with mid late die examples yet this DDO is only sparsely found by roll hunters and less than 100 certified and slabbed examples. A pink rabbit coin. It looks AU-58 RB and with all that red still on coin might go MS-60 which there ain't any MS-60 slabs at present so give it a shot with PCGS the 60 bucks fee will definitely put it in the 300 dollar club if it makes MS RB. Congratulations! Studied your pics again and up its grade to MS62 RB purple paper haze and all. All the rolls I've opened on 1966 have that lovely purple sulfur haze. Give it a pure acetone soak and don't dab or rub let air dry then get in a mylar flip.

LuvmyCam: I will definitely send this one off to get graded. When you say soak it in acetone, how long, and it won't damage the coin?

It would be, in my opinion, a tragedy to dip this coin. The purple haze is toning and although awkward looking will not lower the grade of the coin. I have graded a number of these that looked pretty similar and grades have been up to MS64. I should think yours is MS63 plus or minus a grade, but PCGS is very hard to predict. If you dip the coin in anything at all, including acetone, you risk getting a grade back that says "details-altered surfaces". This will drop the value of your coin by at least half. It's your call, but I would never take that kind of chance with a high-dollar coin.

yes if you have little experience with conservation using acetone perhaps doing so would not be advisible - so I retract my suggestion and 2nd Tbats advice to leave as is. No down side to leaving the lovely specimin alone.
