Sorry but not a Cud, just some sort of damage that has flattened the rim.

Is there any other key give aways besides the incused opposite of Cud area? That I can also look for? Like are most Cuds generally on the Obverse first of all?

Reed more about the Cuds.
The problem it is that is an legal tender coin so is hard to find someone to melt because will be considered a felony. So spend if you can. It is a maltreated coin by some stupid.

Just damage. Looks like someone scratched it on pavement. And I've never really thought about the obv vrs the rev Cud. I don't think there would be a difference to which occurs the most.
