I do see a few visible marks and don't know if it commands a MS state.

no mint mark means it is a Philadelphia minted coin,so 1971-P LMC.

Given the pics posted, I'm thinking somewhere in the higher end of the XF range--approaching AU but not quite there. Say, is that a die crack in Abe's hair--just a bit below 'WE'?

Agree with mid-AU but a lot of bag hits on the obverse detract from the eye appeal IMO.
