When my Father was alive and collecting coins with me I believe we found about fifteen of them They are called 1955 poor man's double die. Some people call them a 1955 shift just like the 1953 shift. I have found many of those coins too. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I am one person who has tried all my life (I'm 71 now) to find a 1955 double die penny. No luck and do not believe I will ever find one. Hopefully you will.When you find a 55 DDO penny, boy will you know it. Strong doubling on 1955, Liberty and In God We Trust. Coop76 Valued Member United States 147 Posts	Posted 03/11/2023 2:00 pm Ok thankyou and it's to bad this is not recognized as a double die I already knew is was not the famous for I have seen one in beautiful condition at a local coin shop and I was amazed on how pronounced the double was. I was just seeing something here that I surly would have thought it's would be a double die I just couldn't find any match on multiple coin platforms so I had to ask for some help, maybe next time I'll ll find something spectacular but chances of being in circ are slim to none and if so condition would be questionable I'm sure.
