Something funky going on with this one. Clear doubling, what's up with the rim elevated like this, also are my eyes playing tricks on me or is there a very small capital E just to the left of the s in trust?

It does look like the ridge rim I am almost positive you have identified that correctly. Is that not a tiny capital letter E that does not belong there? Is this a discovery?

Agree, just a Ridge Ring caused by a worn die.
Where do you se doubling, can't seem to locate it.
Also that E is probably some sort of damage. There is
no way that an extra letter can appear during the minting
of a coin. (Unless it is a dropped letter which that is not)

You don't see doubling on the top of this U and in the middle by the bend of it?

Yesd, that ridge ring--strong with your example--is a product of Die Deterioration. And, beware Pareidolia..

The apparent doubling is due to Die Deterioration. Just a spender.

Seeing Ridge Ring, no DD. Late Die State. Yes on something that looks like an E, but perhaps just a well placed hit from circulation.

If the Mystery E is just a random mark, that's pretty creepy.
