I am currently going through some uncirculated 42 P Wheats. I've found some interesting ones so far that could possibly be DDO, double eye and motto. possible dates not listed.
I will soon post to be analyzed.
I noticed Wexler's page has a listing for 17 DDO's with no pictures. Does this mean there are still that many Varieties known out there that currently do not have pictures, or he personally just left a reservation # for others just in case more were found?

To check to see if the devices are larger than normal, make side by sides of a different normal coin. Then you can make side by sides and will know quickly if they are showing spread or if showing reduction from die polishing. Or Machine Doubling that removes a contoured edge. (Make the devices smaller.)

Also examining the affected area: Is rounded like a hub doubling, or removed making the devices smaller/lower on the devices:

Side by sides shows the differences.

These side by sides will show even die wear/die polishing removing devices that were at one time on the fresher dies:

Just the right way to tell what is really going on with coins in question. They the devices from two different coins match, then it is either that both are normal, or Both are doubled dies. If the doubling is different from coin to another, it could be a different die variety. So the hub doubling will have to match the attributed dies to find out what number than could be. (Match hub doubling first or mintmark locations on the older dies) Then markers. If the hub doubling is not there, markers mean nothing. (Because the die go through the same die events over and over. So some marker could match/not be present. Depending on die states)
