1972 D Nickel Error? (Five Reverse)

Subject says it all! Is it an error? Seems to be raised to the same height as the letters.. looks like a seven at the bottom of the "FI" in five. The black and white filter shows some strange things. Almost looks like a possible double strike or something. I don't know enough, so I need your help! Thanks in advance!

I see damage from a circulation hit, not a mint error.

Thanks guys.. Never really seen anything like it so far. I figured a "ding" would gouge, flatten, or remove metal only. I guess I didn't really think about a lateral movement. I'll definitely still throw it in the old keeper box for character if nothing else! Thanks!
