1965 Quarter Seems To Not Have A Rim. Struck On A 5 Cent? Can An Expert Please Weigh In?

The rim seems almost invisible and there are some underlying letters when magnified. Notice the P and the extra 1. I read about 65 quarters being struck on 5 cent planchets, and wonder if mine could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I posted a picture of 2 1965s side by side. JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21589 Posts	Posted 03/15/2023 5:53 pm Looks like an ordinary quarter with some circulation wear. Extra letters simply cannot appear when a coin is struck. Where would they come from? The one exception of course is a dropped letter. Report this Post to the Staff
silviosi Pillar of the Community Canada 6244 Posts	Posted 03/15/2023 5:54 pm OK. You can not compare those two coins due to the fact you has two different Reverse Design Variety. In fact you has RDV-004 and RDV-005. By your photo you has the 5 on the left side. The first photo show me normal Observe. What could be more interesting will be close-up T & Y left photo. I added the E because I think I see some doubling at the bottom. Really not a pro so forgive me if I see things that may not be clear to you.
