Are all the reeds present on the edge on that area in question? But with the coin scratches some one may have altered this coin. If so, then it is a spender.

Hi,
In response to coop, all the reeds are there. The photos will hopefully tell you more. Please do let me know what you think. Clipped? Damaged?
Thanks

Looks like some cladding was struck on the edge of the coin. Note the top of the reverse clad edge there. Looks partly missing. It may have been a small error, but someone may have altered it before you received it. The lines on the reverse looks post strike. So might want to keep it safe for now.
