@Barbette - practice to train your eye to see the evidence of circulation wear by taking a coin such as this and hold it at an angle to a good light source. If you have a coin loupe best to use that as well.
An MS coin will have uninterrupted mint luster across all the fields, devices and portraits. Look especially at the high points of the struck design - that is the elements that are the highest above the flat fields.
If you see the luster is interrupted at the high points - that is due to wear. @BadThad is referencing this observation in his reply.
You will see that evidence on this 1964 cent, and it would be a good numismatic exercise for you to look for and find it so you'll have gained that experience for the next one.
nickelsearcher gave you some great advice. if you are not familiar with luster then look through some of the threads here. there are several where the assessments are an MS RD coin. compare the surfaces of these against yours
