Please know I am a novice and appreciate all advice offered.

My post references 2 different question's about this 1982 penny w/o mint mark and a smail date, I think.
I read somewhere about a "A strike-through mint error in some 1982 pennies on Lincoln's cheeks. What would that resemble?
My next question is about the photo. I find my pictures of pennies look better without lighting. With lighting though, errors and other flaws are easier to see. Which is appropriate to post?
Thank you

PS-just realized I have uploaded duplicate pictures in stead of using my previously uploaded picture. I will delete asap, do not want to add overload to the site, I really appreciate all the wonderful information available here. I do not want to bog down the process.

mizmaliz, first off, to the forum!

You really need to start your own thread, instead of adding to someone else's, this just creates confusion. I see jbuck has moved yours to it's own thread, while I was posting.
That is a small date and with the pics given, I cannot tell much else. I'm not sure what strike through you are referring too but looks like yours has some circulation damage in the cheek area.
With the pics, just take your time and experiment with different lighting and cameras until you can figure it out. When I first started, I would take bunches of pics, before I would even get one, that I felt was worth posting. The picture process is as tough as learning the different errors and varieties, in my opinion.

Looks like contact marks on the bust image. If so it is just damage to the coin. Not a premium for this coin.

Thank you for the advice. I have a cheap magnifying microscope and have to use a wifi program to see the image on my phone. I have many older coins found when packing up older family members life's after they had passed. I have been unemployed for a few months and am so grateful to have found this as a new hobby. I was losing my mind from boredom. I am not looking to make any money, just interested in the history and learning about new things. I have a few employment prospects to pay the bills. I will never have another high pressure job that takes over 1000% of my life again. I look forward to enjoying new hobbies and some personal time at this point of my ilfe
