I see a rebounded hit. Damage coin PMD. If you look for hardiness test, you will never find on modern coins after 2005 and do not are like this in matter of mark.

Just a damaged coin. Think of throwing a rock in mud, note how the mud is pushed out of crater? The same has happened to your cent.
