Completed this Baby last night ! They are from circulation of course......BUT MAN !....WERE THOSE "P's" HARD TO GET ! I thought P qtrs. were difficult !........ nuthin' compared to the Westward Series Philadelphia Mint Nickel here where I live !..... They're in a Harris folder.......hmmmm.....maybe I should take a pic and post it ...... Small accomplishment maybe in the big scheme of the collecting world I suppose....but a " completed Set" nonetheless !.... And now for the congratulatory comments...... The Pics......added 3/13/09 Edited by eaglefoot 03/13/2009 10:06 am

I could tell you, but... Seriously, good job! I recently found my last 'D' coin for the series, the 2004-D Keelboat reverse.

Congratulations! I have:
04P, 04D handshake, 04D boat, 05D bison, 05D ocean
I need:
04P boat, 05P bison, 05P ocean.
The P's are hard for me also. I'm going to have to get a Eastern trader.

If someone wants to trade for the P, then I can help them out. I really need a D mint John Q Adams dollar in good shape (BU).
I will grab a box of nickels and search through for the P mints if some needs them. Let me know... I am likely going to the bank tomorrow. I know I have the Bison as I saved all of them from a box one time (I like bison :))

sfwusc, we'll talk when I get up to my 50 posts. I plan on doing some networking then.

Ok that works. Sorry I didn't notice you didn't have 50 post yet. My bad! If it is ok with the mods, then could you send me your need list. Just the stuff I would find in boxes. That way I can throw them off to the side for when you get to the 50 post mark.

Hello fellow nickel collectors! Congrats eaglefoot on that completion of the series, done as a true collector. I feel the sense of accomplishment. I like matchbox's enthusiasm too. I would like to see these pictures for sure!

sfwusc, I like to play by the rules, so give me a few days. I'll get real chatty and get up to the 50 post in no time. Like I said, I need an eastern trader for Philadelphia mint cents, dimes & quarters. I don't need all that many. All my collection are circulated, just pocket change. I have easy access to Denver mint coins as I'm in North Dakota.

Here's mine. These were all received directly from circulation around 2004-2005, 5¢ each! Yes, indeed, the "P" W.J. Nickels are really hard to find in Denver.... In the scan, you can see the luster difference between the "P"'s and the "D"'s. In fact, it's even more obvious in the scan than 'in person', the "P"'s are still MS with good luster and cartwheel. Oops, I see some dust particles in my scan, the coins aren't scratched.... (I didn't use my can of compressed air first!)
