I'm a big fan on coins with some history and I like this one. It does look like it was mounted at some point, but for me that adds to its character. Unfortunately, it does not add to its value. Coins were meant to be used, spent, move around, etc. I like having a mix of "showpiece" coins and a "life well lived", coins.

@jester... Thanks... I agree with you.

I have pretty strict buy limits on u.s. coins in Italy ...and just enjoy them for what they are. Values, as long as I stick to my limits, are secondary. I like to focus on the coins trajectory.
