I wasn't planning on posting this coin. Just put it in my collection but I noticed it has a rather large anomaly on the eagles left wing. There's a corresponding stain on the coin that makes me wonder if they are related. Thanks for looking!

The design was suppose to have a fine Die crack there. Your coin has a giant. Can we say Die gauche? I have to find mine in the forest of the quarters DDO's LOL

Variety facts: ANACS 188/5 NCG 83/0 PCGS 213/11 Total 484/16 Second digit represent coins in better then MS64. The price as per PCGS is complete ridiculous.

If the lines of the affected area are a match, it could be an outer edge of another coin? If it were a die gouge, the affected area would be raised, not incuse. It if the DDO, but the mark on the reverse could be damage? (Note the push out on the obverse on the eye and hair areas)

Rims are wider than the coins. Sometimes a larger coin can also be used to alter a victim coin.
