Hey friends... a family member showed me this coin that he was given a long time ago. He asked me if it would be worth anything, so I am coming to ask the experts.

This coin was minted at the Franklin Mint. It's the 350th Anniversary Barbados. 1625-1975

A quick ebay ended items search shows these in original blue holder sold for $215 - $290.00.

APMEX shows that this coin Contains .0998 oz of pure Gold (just shy of 1/10 oz)

Thank you for the range on ebay. I sell other items on there so I will have to take a look as well at others that are listed.

Does a coin like this have to be sent for grading like other coins? or is it fine because it's been sealed in the blue packet? Sorry

I don't even know if any of the TPG's grade Franklin Mint products, but someone here will. Regardless, the cost of grading in this case would not likely be worthwhile IMO.

It's only worth gold value (substantial at least). Grading will not get you any more.
