can anyone tell me why is it bronze or shiny gold?

Do you have the weight to two decimal points.
Looks like it has been plated.

Back in the day, students experimented with plating coins in science class.

I just found this 1941 today and these 2 coins are identical. The plating is pealing on the reverse of mine. The coin is to shinny for that year. If you look at the big gash on Lincoln back and the plating went over it.
