Hi my name is Michael and I am in need of your opinions whether or not this coin is an error and if it's worth. Thanks

*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

It is a plating issue with PMD on the reverse. No added value.

Plating bubbles were quite common in the 1980s. As stated, no added value.

to the forum and here is a link. It is actually called an "Error" by the professionals but is so common and will eventually happen to pretty much all copper plated zinc coins, there is not only no premium, but more than likely will not even be worth a cent, in time.

with all of the above. The zinc dust under the copper layer can/ has broken open exposing the zinc core to the elements causing zinc rot to eat away at your coins (and others it may come in contact with, as Dearborn mentioned). Spend it while you can!
