Would this coin be considered a part of a series (along with the 1 oz silver Imperial State Crown? Why/why not? I missed the Imperial State Crown, but am hoping to get it at some point and if this would be considered a series I want to get the St Edward's while available.

I think if anything the St. Edwards Crown coin would be part of a series with The Lovers Knot Tiara, Brazilian Aquamarine Tiara, and the Diamond Diadem Crown Coins.

I actually think St Edward's Crown could be the final coin in this series, because all tiaras, diadems, and crowns have already been featured. I'm not the expert in Crown Jewels though.

I should have stated "The already released" The Lovers Knot Tiara, Brazilian Aquamarine Tiara, and the Diamond Diadem Crown.

.and if you collect Canada's Silver Dollars then the 1 oz. Imperial State Crown belongs in that collection.

I don't see how a $20 coin that is larger (38mm diameter vs. 36mm) and heavier (31.39g vs. 25.17g) "belongs" in a SD collection? (I'm speaking as a long-time SD collector.)

(I'm speaking as a long-time SD collector.) The IMPERIAL STATE CROWN is a 2022 special edition SD. The ST. EDWARD'S CROWN is the 2023 $20 1oz 38mm coin. Too many crowns, so maybe the confusion.

The IMPERIAL STATE CROWN was released in 2023 but I guess because of the double date, 1952-2022, the Mint is calling it a 2022.

Quote: Too many crowns, so maybe the confusion. Thanks for the response. I'm not at all confused by the multiple crowns. I am confused, however, as to why you believe a $20 silver coin belongs in a silver dollar collection - they are very different coins and series in my mind. I'm interested in your thoughts.

I'm the confused one.
I got the 1oz. and the $1 mixed up.
I see now that the original post was asking about the 1oz. The Imperial State Crown coin, not the $1 SD The Imperial State Crown coin.
