Nice 1st year Barber quarter. I'm at an AU58 Ob and AU55 Rev. Pick one. I might be a little low but, the reverse did me in from being higher.

Obverse pic in particular is too small and dark to see surface details clearly.

i think technically its AU58 but I agree with dsking the reverse may bring the coin down on eye appeal to AU55

The reverse of this coin almost looks lacquered to me

There's something going on there keith12 because it looks to me like whatever it is/was is peeling off. Looks much different than the obverse.

Lighting is throwing this one off a bit I think. I put it at mid AU if the coin looks better in person, especially the reverse.

AU55, might get AU58, nice example, Type 2 reverse. I also think the appearance of the reverse is the lighting and some mottled toning. although I'm not sure what's going on with the D in United.

AU-55 original straight grade very nice example of a Barber quarter that saw very little time in circulation. A bargin at $125ish its got the character of a low mint state coin for half the price...a keeper.

Not the best photographer. I'm trying to get some better pics of reverse, in particular.

With new pictures, I admit, after submitting a lot of these, PCGS would tag this in the lower MS range 60-62 *edited to add* That's only if it has some mint luster left and some cartwheel. Otherwise AU. Just my experience
