So I found this Penny today. I can't read what the last number of the date is. I think it's a 2001 p.. I put it under my microscope and still couldn't really figure it out. Until I looked at the pictures. Do you guys think that this is PMD or an error coin? Maybe over polished or Greased die? As you can see the reverse looks normal. I do think it may have a little bit of die clash on reverse. I am just wondering what you experienced pro collectors think? I'm still new to the hobby but I absolutely love it!! There's SOOO much to learn! People think I'm a dork but idc! so much to learn about coins and I'm trying to learn as much as I can!! I did my best getting pictures. I know pictures are sometimes hard to see

I vote Grease Filled Die strike and I too think it's a 2001.

Lets see what other members think of the coin.

Oh wow! I've heard of grease-filled dies, but I wasn't sure how to tell the difference between an actual greased die and just circulation wear/damage.
I have ran across a few coins that look similar to this, but my first instinct was that they were just worn down. May need to circle back to those and look closer.
Thanks for this post!

Over polishing would make the devices look smaller in height/width. So as mentioned it is a struck through a Grease Fill on the die that struck this coin.
