Back in 1967 when I was hunting and collecting coins with my Dad, I found an unusual Lincoln Cent. I didn't think anything of it but when I found two other ones I decided to send it off to Clearinghouse of Coin World. As all you old folks like me, Coin World newspaper was the best reading material for collectors back then.I was shocked when I got my coin back from them and the pictures of the coin and how it would appear in the newspaper. Another person sent in a coin too along with mine. At 16 years of age and a young collector you can see how I was in heaven. The following is the newspaper article and the coin I sent along with their photos. The picture of the coin I posted here was one of the other coins I found. Edited by SaturnD51 04/06/2023 11:13 pm

Well my fame to glory did not last. No one at school knew what I was talking about. They were looking at girls and I was looking at coins, lol. Today I still have I think I still have about 3 or 4 of the coins, I would have to look.

Great story and congrats on the finds way back then.
(Your friends in high school: they just weren't right in the head. LOL)
