Found this in my change jar looking for wheat pennies. A ring arond the inside on thhe right, and the doubled edge on the left. Its also very shiny and off colored. Like more zinc than copper. As you can see in the one pic. I couldnt find anything about any 1986 like this. I'm not too familiar with errors other than the double stamps on dates and words. Any info on what it is exactly is much appreciated. I weighed it four times on a kitchen scale. 2.52, 2.49, 2.47, then 2.52 again. So I would say it weighs right. Thanks again

Awesome. Thanks ! Anything about the off color ? Its dark in the recesses and the normal copper color where its raised.

Yes on the Ridge Ring. The lighter tone on raised portions of the coin may (may...) be the result of the coin being rubbed (burnished) for a brief time using a cloth.

Cool. Thanks guys ! It does kind of look that way. Almost like the zinc is showing through.
.and for the welcomes too. Happy to be here. Hopefully I can learn something.
