I have a 2018 Lincoln Shield that is silver in color and will stick to a magnet, obviously some type of steel. has anyone ever seen one? The shield stamp is slightly off center as well to the lower right. I just put the 2019 penny in for color reference.

That Lincoln looks to be nickel plated and nickel is slightly magnetic.

A plated cent, yes. An accurate weight might tells us more. First two photos are very good!

rsmith,

I agree it has been plated after it left the mint, so it is PMD.

Plated for sure. Sometimes for a school science project, students or teacher will plate coins. Collectors will probably not value them but it makes for a good conversation.
