Believe I came across one today. I know there has been much discussion in the recent past.

Your thoughts, do I have a 1970 S small date?

Looks like the LD. What stands out to me when I spot the SD is the top of the 7 even with the top of the 0. The slightly lower positioned 7 is the LD.

Yes LD. And another PUP is, on a LD the circle of the 9 points to the S, the SD it points to the 7.

After Examining the 1970-S SMALL DATE Lincoln Cents, Years Ago. I have Found, The 9 Always has BOTH ends POINTED.

The Example shown is in Battered Condition... Upper Loop and The Lower Loop are Pointed......................... Find a Crisp Slabbed " Authentic " Example and Check it out,

It is a large date, you can also tell by the 7. from the bottom up it narrows as it rises up to the corner.

Looks like a small date to me, loop of the nine points toward the middle of the seven and the bottom of the seven and one look like they line up, top of the nine and seven look aligned, could be wrong but that's what I see from the images (imho,I am still learning).

Sorry, not a small date, but you may want to look at the rest of the obverse, for possible doubling and markers. Tough to tell with the pics and circulation though.

Correction on my part, did not mean to say large date....
