Hey guys I found this cent and have no idea what errors these are. Looks off center on the obverse and there is a little piece missing on the reverse. Any ideas?

Looks like the damage you see from coin rollers, but too close to the rim. Maybe someone deliberately scored around the outside of the coin with a sharp metal tool or something. Definitely PMD though.

It's also slightly larger than a normal penny. I dont have a scale yet so I didn't weigh it. Another guy on a different forum said it might be a railroad rim but I think that only occurs with reeded coins right?

It is in a bezel of some kind. That damage to the bezel that you see on the reverse may have been a loop to hang it on a chain or something.

It's definitely in a bezel. Here's one I found metal detecting with the eyelet still intact.

Yes, yes--a worked jewelry piece. Intact bezel is the key giveaway. Nice example.

@Hordfest just to clear up a little further, a railroad rim would be on the side of the coin, not the faces. When people talk about the "rim" on a railroad rim, they aren't talking about the flared rim of the coin that goes around the outside, but rather the edge of the coin. Look up examples on error ref.

Thanks guys! Had no idea what a bezel was before this, but now I am armed with some great knowledge. Love this forum already! You all are so patient and knowledgeable. On Facebook people tend to be much more cruel or give faulty information.

The coin is altered. Not a plus for the coin. It could possibly be removed. But if it is damaged, then it is just a Wheat cent. (Carefully remove it)

@Hordfest glad you're liking it here! This (in my opinion) is the best community for discussing errors and varieties. Facebook is a mess of misinformation, as you said. Only other forum that's good for information is the CONECA forum, but that's more of an expert Q&A (also useful) than it is an actual community like this space.
