A lot of damage and obviously cleaned. still, 1943. ?

The poor steelie has seen better days. I have kept every Wheat cent I've ever found, so for me it's a keeper. I wouldn't expect it to have any value above face though.

Unable to fully evaluate since your photos are distorted by being more than 10x larger in area than the 800x800 pixels the board recommends. Please use a size of 800x800 or so because that works with more equipment and allows more members to participate.

Given the images posted, I believe we're looking at a vigorous dose of post-strike damage. On the matter of photography, the posted images are a bit soft, but they do fit my display just fine--can't say that works well for everyone.
