1981 D Lincoln Penny, Ugly But Is She Worth It?

Th3ch0s3n0ne New Member United States 21 Posts	Posted 04/20/2023 9:30 pm Thanks for taking the time to check out this ugly oddity I have found. It's a 1981 D when I look at it I keep feeling like there is something else stamped onto the obverse and reverse. Such as letters through out the coin or at least what I presume to be letters. By Lincoln's head, bottom of his bust, by the date, by his nose looks odd and other spots which are noticeable in the pictures. On the reverse through out the "one cent", near the end of "America" I'm aware above the memorial are scratches. The whole coin is either ugly with road rash or something else is going on with it. So I'm hoping someone with knowledge and take a look. Report this Post to the Staff

Th3ch0s3n0ne, I used to try to pick apart coins like this, just like you, trying to find something to make sense, out of what I was seeing. At the end of the day, a coin in this condition is not worth it. With the condition of the coin, you can prove nothing. In your words, "is she worth it", no. -makecents- Report this Post to the Staff
