I am not the best at taking pictures but I found this 1986 penny it appears to me that it is on the wrong planchet seems like it's on a dime planchet Maybe it is smaller than a penny should be I'm not a collector per se by any means but I'm just learning so any help at this point would be appreciated

My guess is a Dryer Coin. That made it back into circulation.

this cent on a zinc planchet has had the edge sanded down to the zinc core, along with a part of the center of the coin.
