So coin roll hunting has been slow for me! I have not found anything of real value in the past two weeks. A couple of beat up Wheaties, and little in Lincoln Memorials, that were not covered in Zinc dust.
I did find an interesting 1969 P (no errors) but a nice Red Brown with good fields and nice detail and color. The Reverse has a mark on the Memorial steps extending into the field above the N and the E of ONE. Like all of my coins it has been circulated and shows wear but it's not a bad coin and I thought it might be a low mint state! So let me know your thoughts after you review the pics and as always regards to all.

Nice looking 1969 with Machine Doubling at the date and a mid AUish in grade perhaps...

I'd say mid-AU. In my experience, I've gone many months (at a time) of heavy cent roll hunting before finding anything even remotely 'valuable'. Par for the course.

Very nice low AU '69! To be MS it would need to show us more luster. Ofcourse, your photos are so close that they show every tiny little thing. Review it with a 10x loupe and see what you think. That's generally what TPG's use.

Shot my pics in low light so you can see detail. Remember this coin came out of Circulation. As to being enhanced I store all my photos in Picasa 3 which is no longer supported by Google. The Camera I use is one of the inexpensive Chinese microscope which is a Bayer filter device which approximate a RGB (red-green-blue) video device. The Picasa 3 system stores the image and cross converts to a JPEG format when you ask for a imported image. I use this to send the file containing the image to the Coin Community website which requires a 300 Kilobite max file size per image. If the image is enhanced my guess would be an edge enhanced system but it would be a rudimentry system. Remember I am dealing with a free software system here so enhanceing A image cost real money. Oh yes I forgot to mentioned I spent 50 years in the television business selling equipment to broadcasters including the Networks, the upgrade from analog format to Advanced Digital format. I know enough to be dangerous! Regards.

if you have just a standard phone scrap the scope and try this

1. if coin is in holder, remove coin from holder if possible

2. turn off flash

3. place coin on flat surface with indirect natural light. maybe a window sill in a cloudy day. Use a black or white background to avoid any reflective color

4. move phone about 3in from coin

5. zoom in using your fingers until the coin comes into focus and fills the cameras view finder. if your phone has a portrait selection use that and then press and hold on the coin in the view finder to AF lock it

6. hold phone steady. if you cant then place something on either side of the coin (like books) at that distance and lay phone between them. this will hold it steady and allow you to zoom and take the photo without any blurring

panzaldi unfortunately I have a serious hand tremor so focusing a hand held phone is beyond my capabilties! Second the resolution of my old phone sucks, so the microscope resolution at 12 megapixels is good for coins! the diatribe from my last post was to explain my pictures and the possibilty my pics are enhanced! Thanks for the info and regards.
