Argentella Mines LTD were silver, lead and copper mines established in 1886 on the French controlled Island of Corsica. They were operated by British owners - at least that is what I gather from searches and some old stocks and other info. Corrections and additions welcome.
The piece below measures 26 mm.
Wondering if anyone has heard of this issue and if the 5 over S means 5 shillings?

Found an interesting article about the mine site being considered for underground nuke testing in 1960 but fortunately did not happen.
