I am not a collector of paper varieties or errors so I am looking for opinions on whether or not this small bit of extra ink in the first 0 of the upper serial number is something people collect (obviously I have but does it have any extra value)? Thanks in advance!

Slight bleed, not uncommon.

I agree with Mr.Frog. It's actually not that noticeable when not magnified.

Personally I saved a few when I first noticed them, but after a bit, I realized how common that type of "error" really is (in some cases) and ended up keeping only a couple that just look interesting and in high condition for a currency collection These kind of finds are great for beginner collectors also since they will pop up in typical circulated currency and also helps some people get interested in currency or errors on currency and collecting them.

Series 2013 by the way has an abundance of that type. 2017 and 2017a not nearly as much although as coinfrog stated its just a slight bleed and not uncommon. I see a lot of those heavy ink/bleeding ink on the third digit of the 2013 and its a minor over inking error. Initially they were selling for a few dollars over face value to casual collectors say 2-3 bucks but generally the thought is going to be that these should not really have any value over face due to just how common they are, especially series 2013 where its very common. Its a good idea just to know what your collecting. Its a cool find different from the norm and I have always said if you like something and its only a dollar otherwise, keep it just dont get scammed by someone who tries to sell something common and minor as a big error worth lots of value.
