My coin roll hunting addiction began a couple of months ago but until today I have mainly focused on cents, nickels, dimes, quarters, and a few half dollars. Today, the bank had some dollar coins that they offered me (enabling my addiction). I was only planning to get $20 worth of coins to hunt through over the weekend but they were short on cents so I ended up getting the $20 of dollar coins they had. I have done some research today to learn what to look for but I would like to get your input since I have not looked at many of these coins.
Out of the twenty dollar coins, fifteen of them are 1979 Susan B. Anthony coins. One of the fifteen SBAs caught my attention...after a little Googling I learned about the "wide rim" and I believe this coin is a wide rim. Take a look at the attached pics and let me know your thoughts, please.
The last photo shows my suspected "wide rim" next to a "narrow rim" for comparison.
As I was looking back through the rest of the SBAs I got today, I realized that one of the other 1979's was a San Francisco mint! From what I have read, this is a Type I 1979-S since the S mint mark is like a "blob", correct?

There was also a 1979-s regular strike which is what you have there. The 1979-S Susan B. Anthony dollar is very common in circulated grades and up to MS65 condition. Only MS66 examples and higher are scarce. In MS66 there are probably a couple thousands examples that survive. In MS67 much fewer examples exist, probably more like 400 examples survive in this condition. In MS68 they are truly scarce with less than a handful of examples known to exist and none surviving in any higher condition. In other words the extremely high condition of some uncirculated examples is why they sell for alot since most are circulated and lower grades. https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin...s-sba-1/9573
