I came across this penny in my change today and noticed the Y in liberty looks little weird. Also on the reverse, the word united looks warped or something. Can anyone explain what type of error this is and what would have caused it please? As always, thanks in advance. You guys are the best!

Might be Die Deterioration, but unable to fully evaluate since your photos are distorted by being much larger than the 800x800 pixels the board recommends. Please use a size of 800x800 or so because that works with more equipment and allows more members to participate.

This looks like a worn die issue, I think I see a Ridge Ring on the reverse and obverse, As the die wears, it distorts and stretches, thus changing the look of the devices near the rim. The 'Y' on liberty, may have taken a hit and changed its appearance. A close up of the Y would help.

I think both the T and Y of LIBERTY took slight circulation hits.
