I ran into this peculiar 1989 D Washington quarter today. I picked up some rolls of each denomination today and this was in it. The only place I see this is on the B of liberty. It's just a straight line on left side of the B. What is on the left side is not lower than the right side. Just wondering if this is just damage that looks weird to me. If you see anything I missed please let me know. Thank you. Oh I also found. 2020 W v75 salt river bay in this same roll. That one I know what I was looking at lol.

*** Edited by Staff to Add Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

@mri, I can see what you are talking about in this overall pic, but note that there are no known DDOs for 1989 D Quarters (link below). Looks more like circulation damage to me.

I would say most everything on this coin could be explained by circulation damage but there may also be a clash going on.

Thank you everyone. I thought it was too good to be true. I'm learning that a lot lately lol. I purchased some silver eagles that were a great price a bit ago and have yet to receive them. Starting to think I never will. It was a huge amount of money but enough to sting a bit. Lesson learned. I saw that price and jumped. Thinking back 20$ a pop for 2023 silver eagles is way too good. This was right before silver jumped. Everything I read said it was about to so I thought I was getting ahead of the curve. Live and learn though. People suck sometimes though. But so far numismatic people have been nothing but class. ThNks again everyone
