Was wondering if anybody could please tell me what this could possibly be looking at the coin it seems to be the Lincoln memorial stamped on the front

Would be best to post full (full coin), large and sharp pics of the obverse and reverse. We need to see the entire coin.

@erik, yes full front and back overall pics would help, but these are invariably vise jobs (purposeful damage).

And it's weird because there is damage on the coin but the memorial that I believe is imprinted on the front does not line up with the memorial on the back

My first thought was
'vise job' or hydraulic press.

It is going to take a lot of convincing to make me think otherwise.
