The top of the S in Trust, looks more step like MD than DD to me. Can you post up the link for this attribution? (please?)

@Ijn and Dearborn not DDD. You can see the clear separation lines on the N, W, and E as well. Also note the splitting on the tail of the R, which is completely impossible from MD or DDD. Check against DDO-013. I'm very confident in my attribution (here's the link, which you can always look up yourself, since I gave the attribution number) http://www.varietyvista.com/04b%20J...4PDDO013.htm

Well nice find, and thank you for posting up the link to this attribution. You know I possibly could have looked up this up, but since you didn't state which web site you referenced, I would have spent my time wasting it looking for it on all the attribution sites out there until I found the correct one. And since you already looked it up, it would have been nice to just post up what you already had found.

@Dearborn Not trying to start a fight, but I did absolutely state the site implicitly. DDO refers to Variety Vista, WDDO refers to Wexler's listings. I just find it a little worrying when people here incorrectly dismiss a correctly attributed variety out of hand without looking it up, because, while I know what I'm doing, there are lots of new users who don't, and I've seen actual varieties be rejected here by people who fall into a lazy habit of automatically rejecting everything out of hand. The problem is, most posts here are not in fact varieties, so answering MD/DDD will be correct at least 95% of the time. However, if your false negative rate is high on those remaining 5% of posts that are varieties, then your 0% false positive rate on the 95% that were not varieties is much less useful to the community. Anyway, rant over, but this is really the one big concern I've had for quite a while as a part of this community.

Nope, no fight here, you are far better at DDO and errors in general I'm just starting to get into errors, and can only offer my opinion as I learn them. Yes I'm wrong more times that I'm correct. BUT all I said was that it "looks like" not that is was MD, which is why I simply asked for a link to it. VV on my internet connection takes FOREVER to load for some reason, and I usually give up on it after some time. So to end tis right now, I'll just keep my mouth shut.

@Dearborn All good, sorry if I was a little grouchy in my responses. There was really no need for me to be snarky about posting the link, and I should have kept MY mouth shut in the first place, since it really only took a second. I apologize for being a bit of a jerk :)

Every member new or not needs to post the attribution number they think it might be each and every time. Always check all three main reference sites before posting here.If a new member does not know the three sites that's different, posting here first is fine we can post links for them. John1

Nice find Sam. I have problems identifying, I believe it's a class 5, and identifying class 6s. So too me 5s look like MD, until I take a second look.

@John Not sure I follow your comment, but I posted the VV reference number in the title. If you're making reference to the exchange between me and Dearborn, I think you're misunderstanding what happened. Dearborn was asking for the link, but the reference number was always in the title.

Where I was going with my comment above-----the coin may have Die Deterioration going on, while still being a DDO.

@ijn Ah, no problem, gotcha. This one actually seems to be on the earlier side of the die's lifetime as it shows much more split serifs than the stage B on variety vista, but I do see the start of some DDD at the top of the S in TRUST for sure.
