... has me confused. Looking at the die crack around 4 K, I see where it can be an early FS1103. At 12 K, very faint, it also looks like a very early FS1103. At 7-8 K, I have a very distinct crack but FS1103 does not.
I also noted in that snip from Shield nickelCherryPickers Guide they show a buttload more varieties - so maybe I have one not listed on PGCS?
And what a humbling experience this is. I've had this coin for probably 20 years, and as seen in the pic below I had it tagged as 'closed 3' way back then. Last night, I (incorrectly) re-assessed and (incorrectly) relabeled it as 'open 3' (and added the bad notes regarding FS1103)!
