I posted one of these double clashed dies last year but saw this one come up for sale recently and decided to buy the "Discovery Piece". The seller didn't have close-up photos and I wanted to compare the two. I still think the first one I posted is showing more counterclashing than is described on maddieclashes. While the counterclash is a great feature the double clash itself is real beauty.

Strong clashing on both sides. That is a super pick up!

So now you have two of them? The discovery and the one you posted last year?
Pretty nice. I think you should send in your original one to ANACS too and get the same designation. as that 'discovery piece'
I agree yours is much better, the person that had the discovery piece was just quicker in sending it in.

I never thought of weighing my clashes until now. Thanks CoinHi.

Thanks for the comments!

Another big difference in the two coins that I see is this coin doesn't have the "9" or mint mark transfer as my original post shows in the upper right corner of the memorial.

Yes Dearborn, I now have two of these.

NYIslander, I wish they had put the weight on this slab but I know that is asking too much for these TPG's.

@ CoinH:

In general they will put the weight when it is a planchet or metallic problems. If the coin it is in parameter is not need to put.
