Kind of late in the evening, but I wanted to get your thoughts on this 2022 D cent. I made a diffuser out of a 2x2 flip stapled together as you will see in the photos. The die cracks in head and shield show well and the initials fit marker using Vista VDDR-001, 1-R-IVII. Maybe I'm seeing double so late in the day? Thank you for your thoughts.. Jim
In your close ups it looks like the coin is under plastic? You need to put a filter over your light source and remove coins from holders before taking photos,no plastic covering the coin. John1
I could be wrong, but do not see the spread that is on the listing, just Die Deterioration and doubling created by the glare. The markers do not match either, the crack on the forehead is in a different place as is the crack on the shield. I do not think this is a DDR.
Thanks for your comments. To answer John 1, I made a "filter" out of a 2x2 flip to try to cut down the glare using my Tomlov scope.and thought it worked fairly well...but perhaps not :) .. Again, I appreciate your replies.
Getting good images without glare is the bane of all of us here. I have a Tomlov scope, and I hardly use the lighting it has built in. I use other lighting that is covered by a tissue. When I do use the Tomlov lighting, I use the little diffuser it came with or the telescoping ones I cover with tissue to - this helps to reduce 'hot' spots.
