I've convinced myself that it won't grade below VG-10. It would be nice to see what everyone else thinks of the grade.

I'll say VG details (cleaned).

VG-details (cleaned). The color looks lighter than normal to me, indicating that the coin was cleaned.

I think your thinking is correct, VG10. That die pair must have been near the end of its service life. If/when you get it, take photos with more natural lighting, these photos look really bright to me for some reason.

Surely you're not straight-grading this?

Nah. I don't think it will straight grade. I just didn't put (details) in my post, my apologies.

By how many percent does the cleaning of this coin impact its value?

I'm not the best in valuing detailed coins but the T2 is the rarer of the types. if it grades VG10 and it grades straight and its slabbed it would be in the $50 range at full retail. grading detailed coins (depending on what caused it and what it looks like) can affect value anywhere from 30-70% off. i'd say the eye appeal on this one is on the lower end however there are no major dings, scratches or hits on either side. maybe a few small marks on the reverse

I'm not seeing many sold on ebay. there is one VG10 ANACS graded listed for $120. I think thats high. I found a raw one way worse than this for $24. one that looks G for $20 and thats about it. so if I was to put a number on this one I would say $35.

i'd bet if you verdi-chem or what used to be verdicare this coin it might clean up nice or even maybe an acetone soak. it could add some eye appeal but I doubt it would affect value much

its not a bad coin

@panzaldi thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question in detail. I do not plan on selling this as I'm obsessed with Indian Head cents. I also bought a type 1 and that ones also a details coin. I did not pay a high price for these coins and there was no way I was not gonna buy them both.
