Bidding on this, but wondering why it's not slabbed. Edited by Blastenpene4 05/18/2023 09:23 am

That long curved scratch in the left obverse field might be worse than it looks in the photo. The value might not justify the cost of TPG grading.

Agree. These pics are too soft to evaluate accurately.

Good point. Just sent an request for better picture/description of that scratch. There also appear to be two areas just in front of the forehead in the field that I can't see clearly. Cheek has some damage of some sort as well. Still appears to be a very pretty MS IHC.

Looks to me like one long continuous scratch, but better pics would definitely help. Very nice luster, though.

Color is way off. Hard pass for me, a ten foot pole kinda coin.

poor photos. I wouldnt touch it unless it had 100% return policy with it. these photos can be hiding a lot

30 day return on this coin. I seem to have gotten a good many lately that have had flaws disguised by the photographs. I keep returning them and getting refunds. Out of 28 purchases I've returned 9 and thinking about returning a 10th.

Quote: I keep returning them and getting refunds. maybe post them here first before pulling the trigger. its tough enough to grade a coin by photo let alone grading from poor photos

Just nuts. Bid is up to $135. I was out a long time ago. I'll report on what it sells for.

Sold for $202.50. I can't fathom it. No way this coin is worth that price.

Not worth anywhere near that price.

I agree with that sentiment
To be even remotely worth that it would need to slab straight grade 64RD at a bare minimum (and even then it would probably break even or lose money) If it comes back anything less than that, then the bid was way too high
But some people just like to blindly gamble on bad pictures, and have the money to not care if they lose it. To each their own, I guess, but I can't get behind that.
