Wife picked up a roll of quarters this morning and this is what was inside. Definitely going back to the bank Tuesday.

Why would you do that!?

This is 50K dollars worth of errors on Etsy!

Have no idea. 39 of them tore up like that. The 1998 on the left was the only good one. It was on the end.

Etsy, hmmmm, newly discovered mint errors! Get em now before the price skyrockets!

Yup. A few years ago I went through a roll of customer wrapped cents. All but two or three were nasty road rash victims. Then again, a couple years before that I found a solid roll of F to XF wheat cents--mid 30s to 50s....customer wrapped.

I find plenty of banged up stuff in " Federal " rolls also. And not to mention a penny or a nickel stuck in the middle of a roll of quarters ( that happens too often ).

That's exactly what they are and why they are going back to the bank. They can dispose of them as no one would accept them in this condition.

I personally would not go back to the bank to turn those back in, as they might not want to sell you coins anymore if you complain. I would just keep the quarters at that point. I have a whole box here at home of damaged coins.

Those quarters are trash and would be rejected by every vending machine. Bring them back.

They were turned back into the bank Tuesday and the manager gave me a replacement roll. No complaining involved.
