1997 D Penny Is Small And Thick - Coin Community Forum

Andromeda New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 06/03/2023 11:35 pm I found this 1997 D penny today at work and was immediately intrigued. It is about 1/8" thick with a very high rim and smaller than a normal penny. The "In God we trust" inscription can be read on the inside of the rim of the coin. I am just curious if this is a mis struck coin or something else. Any help or explanations are greatly appreciated. Very new to collecting coins. Report this Post to the Staff
