It could be double die but I am not entirely sure..

Hi Realtor

Your coin is an example of Mechanical Doubling,,This form of doubling is very common and adds no value to the coin .

Check this for more info on doubling !!

I know the pics arent the greatest--I'll work on that. No offense, Rick, but I would like to get some more opinions on this coin...and I know it's hard to tell without the coin in-hand, but this does have some characteristics of both mechanical & true doubling.

From the pictures I would have to agree with Mechanical Doubling, and I am in no way a expert in this field either. But like you said it can look totally different when in hand but from the pictures it does look like Mechanical Doubling to me

Although minor, I believe it is a doubled die. It would be a class 4 offset hub doubled die. I would need to see more of the coin and any applicable doubling before making a determination of certainty.
