Hi, I have two 1976 Bi-quarters that I've found errors on. The first one has two TTs in UNITED where the I has been crissed with the T and looks like the symbol for Pi...

The 2nd quarter has what looks like a 1975 where the 5 is replaced with a 6...?

Thank you very much for your time and consideration!

Looks like PMD not a mint error. Your close-up photo is a bit too close up and too pixelated.

I'm thinking post-strike damage. It's customary to post full, large and sharp pics of the obverse and reverse, then a photo or two of the feature in question. The full images set the context for the entire coin and help us better assess what may be goin on. Thanks.

There were no quarters that had the '1975' date on them. All bicentennial quarters had the dual dates on them (1776-1976)

@djp, while it isn't a big deal for this thread, moving forward please split out each coin into its own thread. That allows us to give each coin the appropriate level of attention and improves the CCF searchability. Thx.

Much better than the super magnified picture! It appears to be a die crack across the top of UNITED. Just damage on the date of the other.

New photo is much better but please properly crop photos before posting them. We only need to see the coin and none of the background.

It would appear that the die crack starts at the rim above the 'N, and continues through to the 'D'
This is an unusual location for a crack, but a very nice one.

Are you sure it's a die crack? There is a small ridge just inside the rim that runs around the whole reverse. Quite visible through the top edge of some letters in America, and underneath the bottom of Quarter and Dollar.

It is particularly noticeable on the Q in Quarter, the AM in America. At first I thought it was a Ring of Death, but it appears raised. Maybe didn't get the metal pushed all the way to the rim during the strike. Might also want to check the reeds to see if they formed completely, could have been a weak strike.
