In my opinion, the "odd" one is not authentic.

I also think the one on the right is counterfeit. The bottom of the bust isn't supposed to look like that.

These are the ridges! Please advise on what you are to do or report if this was a counterfeit. The US treasury?

3388bknb,
Please spell check before posting, thanks. If fake, you do nothing. Put it in a 2x2 holder and label it as a fake.

Both those edges look like normal clad coins to me. I don't think fakes bother replicating clad planchets, so maybe it's very worn dies and your photographs/lighting.

Tip: don't hold valuable coins like that. Fingerprints never come off.

Thank you for the tip on holding the coin . Did not know this about fingerprints. Would we be safe to say my grandmother didn't save us a fake coin then? She handed down so many strange and different coins. We have been enjoying the variety!

I'm landing in the not fake court here, BUT, it is a bit strange looking - that could be just the lighting and photography

I think it's just lens distortion or photograph angle. The heads pic looks smaller on the left, the tails pic looks smaller on the right. The coins look the same size from the side (or at least the reeds are spaced the same).
