ok I'm pretty sure this 1982 -D- cent is a small date but I need to be sure and its 3g is the D cent the collectible one or is it the P cent the rare one

Yes it is a SD but not the elusive one, yours is the zincoln.

Looks like a large date to me. The 3.057g shown, on the upside down scale, would indicate it's a copper coin as well.

It's a Large Date.

Here's a side by side of the Small Date and Large Date. It shows the difference between the two dates.

that suck I was %99.9 sure it was a small date and thank for all your help even though it's depressing most of the time but it really dose help I really do appreciate it

To be honest, it's hard to believe you could be nearly 100% sure this is a small date if you've researched any of the hundreds of threads on this forum about this particular subject.

Your coin is somewhat of an anomaly in that it has such a thin/narrow 2, especially given the comparison showing that a large date has wide numbers and a small date has thin numbers.

However, your 2 and the rest of the date has the shape and other characteristics of a 1982 large date cent, so I agree it is a large date.
