Some decent pics of the obverse, including the full coin shot but you were standing in a different state when you shot the reverse.

Greetings. Looks to me to be a squeeze job, or someone laying another coin or washer over the coin and striking it causing this PMD

It looks like someone has done a 'Vise Job' on the coin. They placed a 1972 cent on top of the 1981 cent and squeezed it a couple of times to transfer some of the features of that coin onto your coin. The reversed and incuse digits are almost always an indication of a workshop error counterfeit. It's just a damaged coin now.
