So I found these 2 Lincoln cents. The 2019 one got me a lil stumped bc just the letters and some of Lincoln face is zinc and the rest is plated all around it. Then on reverse, it seems the scratches are behind the lettering .. on the 2005 D, I haven't seen anything like it. Any input?

Just two very damaged cents. No way to say exactly how it happened, but damage for sure.

Much post-strike damage, including the 'wearing off' of copper plating. Not uncommon.

That is all mechanical damage as mentioned by @lcu.

So I found these 2 Lincoln cents.

Did you by chance find them in a parking lot?
